The Botched Deal

 Shapiro paused behind the broken-down wall on the outskirts of the small town and scanned left and right. There was an eerie silence broken only by a rhythmic creaking. Behind him Waco said:

‘You need to oil the tail on that dog’.

The crew pausing on the edge of town, looking out for gun toting villains.

Shapiro sends Kaiser to attack Ruffian number 1 and he duly obliges, ripping him to pieces, but then Ruffian 2 takes down the First Mate with two quick shots.

Meanwhile, another ruffian appears on an opposite rooftop. Before he can fire, Roman lets loose with his carbine and brings him down irrespective of the hard cover. 

As he moves under the arch, Able gets hit by Ruffian number 2 and falls down stunned. This isn’t going to plan- they’ve only got pistols! 

Borg steps over the prostrate Able and fires a burst but the shots miss. Waco and Roman both open fire as well but with the same result- C’mon boys!

Kaiser senses blood-alien blood-  eyes go red and he assaults ruffian number 2 with extreme prejudice. Ruffian succumbs.

Medic Ratched works her way around the back of the building until she can help the First Mate. It’s just a question of ‘getting the hell out of Dodge’ but then with all backs turned, another Ruffian appears and stuns Borg with a lucky shot. Kaiser turns back and rushes the ruffian but she manages to fend him off. The First Mate unloads her shotgun but the ruffian ducks away. Kaiser has another go and stuns him.

While the Medic attends to Borg, with a bandage and a spanner, Roman moves around to a better firing position but he misses as well.Shapiro orders Borg  forward and this time his shots are on target- ruffian down.

Almost out of town when another ruffian dashes out of a doorway Nurse Ratched takes aim and brings him down first time. Finally the crew escape back to the Tempest.
